Allen Family | Calw

On Friday, I had the absolute joy of photographing the sweetest family in Calw, Germany! Between the half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets, and the flower-lined bridge, Calw feels like something straight out of a storybook.

The Allen family brought so much love and laughter to their session. From giggles on the bridge to those snuggly family moments, their son was such a sweet little ham, and their daughter loved getting to practice her walking! I especially loved how their outfits complemented the warm fall tones and the colorful blooms that still framed the Enz River.

Calw has quickly become one of my favorite photo locations in the Stuttgart area. It offers that perfect blend of charm and character—ideal for families who want a German village feel. The bridge area gives kids space to run and explore, while the historic architecture provides a timeless background for portraits.

Sessions like this remind me why I adore photographing families here in Germany. It’s not just about the setting—it’s about capturing those fleeting moments of childhood joy, the hand-holds, the laughter, and the love that tells each family’s story.

Please enjoy the Allen’s sneak peek below, and if you’re dreaming of your own family session in Calw or the Stuttgart area, I’d love to photograph your story next.
