COVID-19 Policies
During this time of uncertainty, I wanted to outline some specific policies that I am implementing as Northern Virginia prepares to allow non-essential businesses to reopen. My primary concern is safety. My business serves families (often with young children) and the last thing I want is to place anyone at risk, to include my own family. Because of this, there will be no penalties for postponing sessions during phase one and two of reopening.
Phase One
Likely May 29th - June 11th (subject to change)
When Northern Virginia reopens for phase one (likely on May 29th), ALP will remained closed per the Governor’s guidance for non-essential businesses in the “entertainment” category.

Phase Two
June 12th - June 30th (subject to change)
Based on current trends, I am hopeful that phase two will begin on June 13th. ALP will reopen at this time for sessions for groups of 9 or less and at the client’s discretion. Any sessions scheduled during this time can be postponed with no penalty. Clients may also change the type of session scheduled (i.e. switch from a newborn session to family session or receive a complimentary upgrade to my new Full + Film Sessions ). Any addition in cost will be waived and any decrease in cost will be applied as a credit to the balance owed.
Extra Precautions:
I will wear a mask at all times during your indoor session and maintain a social distance of 6+ feet for outdoor sessions.
Adult clients will wear a mask in studio when not being photographed and maintain a social distance of 6+ feet for outdoor sessions.
No-touch posing will be implemented whenever possible.
Additional family members/friends (not being photographed) are not allowed to attend sessions (this includes nannies, au pairs, grandparents, etc.)
Hand sanitizer will be provided for clients and its use will be required at the start of all sessions.
I am implementing deep studio cleaning and sanitizing between all sessions and will only schedule one indoor session per day.
Should I show any symptoms or become aware of any exposure to Coronavirus my clients will be notified immediately and sessions will be rescheduled while I self-isolate.
Should you or anyone included in your session have symptoms or know exposure to the virus, please notify me and your session can be rescheduled with no penalty!
Phase threE
Possibly July 1st - Vaccine Approval (as always, subject to change)
Sessions for more than 10 clients at a time will resume and family members not being photographed will be allowed to attend sessions again. Social distancing guidelines will continue along with all other extra precautions indicated for Phase Two.
